Is There Any Harm In Getting It Right?

Edit Post
Here we go again:
This chart of villainous Senators needs to be changed!!! (I will get back to this later because this kind of inaccuracy is so dumb it is dangerous.)
But once you get it wrong, and proudly share it all round the web… the horse is out of the barn.
Like the time a woman wrote a gushy review of Bush’s “Decision Points,” filed it on the CNN blog and then called herself a journalist by association. She reviewed Bush’s “novel.” Since it was a memoir, calling it a novel was unintentionally insulting (and accurate!.) She sent this review out to 680 news sources, blogs, BBs. When she was informed of the difference between a novel and a memoir she went round the internet in a panic trying to undo what she had so ambitiously done.
But it can’t be undone. Once’ it’s posted and a link is made it’s there… we’re talking the bookmarking share softwares that are formulas (algorithms again) not people/editors. To go round the web and ask 680 webmasters to change an entry… I mean who could be bothered?
Back to the Senators who voted NO against 2012 National Defense Authorization Act.
PUBLISHED MISINFORMATION HAS NEGATIVE VALUE!!!
Even so far as to be a corrosive agent in a democracy. If the citizens are misinformed… by accident, by sloppiness, or by design, they cannot make the best choices for representation, and cannot tell their representatives where they stand on important issues.
NDAA 2012 is an Extremely important issue.

This chart is making the circuits… and it is not accurate!!

This demonstrates what is so very vile about wikipedia and citizen journalism.
FaceBook Billion Against Indefinite Detention
(this FB acct corrected chart on dec 22, for a week 6 senators were held in the dock of public opinion for a crime they did not commit)

facebook fixed it today... so it only hung there, uncorrected for 8 days.... holding 6 innocent with 87 villainous senators in the dock of public opinion... and the fucking Splineternts picked it up and ran with it, linking profusely.
